When someone teases you, play back, don't fight back
The big ideaThe best comebacks aren't savage. They're quick, they reuse the other person's words, and they keep the game going. Winning the exchange matters less than keeping it fun.

Watch forCarr's comebacks almost always recycle the heckler's own words. Listen for that: he lets them finish, takes their phrase, and turns it around. On stage he goes for the kill; at dinner, you'll take the same mechanic and keep it friendly.
